Experience
Erika has been a working interior designer and remodel project manager for over a decade. While in design school, she started her own interior design blog and began contributing to various publications as a freelance design/lifestyle content writer, contributor, and copy editor. While her main area of focus over the past five years has been residential interior design and remodels, she is excited to once again bridge her love of practical interior design with design-related editorial content writing. In addition, Erika is a DIY hobbyist for her 113-year-old home and an old home devotee.
Education
Erika graduated from Ithaca College in 2009 with two degrees, a B.S. in television [roduction and a B.A. in drama. After switching her career path to interior design, she graduated summa cum laude from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in March of 2013 with an A.A. in interior design. She was a valedictorian candidate and received the Sally Sirkin Lewis Award for being an "outstanding interior design student who demonstrates exceptional creativity and innovation in approaching interior design projects" as judged by a panel of industry professionals.
