Manual
Always check the TV manual before attempting anything, because there may be important information regarding what you should and shouldn’t use to clean it. It’s crucial to know what the manufacturer's instructions are before using anything to clean the screen.
Turn Off The TV
One of the easiest ways to avoid streaks on your flat-screen TV is by turning it off. Let the TV cool off before wiping it down.
Lint-Free Cloth
A dry, clean, lint-free cloth (preferably microfiber) is a great option when wiping down the TV. Don’t use paper towels, as they can leave scratches, and when using a soft cloth, don’t apply too much pressure — just enough to remove the dust and debris.
Distilled Water
If your TV has stubborn streaks, start by gently wiping your TV with a dry microfiber cloth, then lightly spray another clean lint-free cloth with water and wipe the streaks away for good. Finish cleaning your TV with the dry cloth.
White Vinegar
There’s no need for chemical cleaners, because white vinegar and water will do the job. Mix up a 50-50 ratio of distilled water and white vinegar for a deep clean, and spritz a little onto a lint-free cloth and wipe down the flat screen in an S-shaped pattern to avoid streaks.
