11 Creative Ways To Use Popsicle Sticks Around The House
By GWEN SWANSON
Geometric Accent Wall
Connect four sticks to make a square, paint in a color that complements your room, then stagger them over one another and drill or glue them into place.
Honeycomb Shelf
Connect six popsicle sticks in a hexagon shape to start building this self-standing shelf. Glue the wooden pieces into place, and add as many layers as you want.
Keepsake Box
Glue four sticks as a base and layer up more sticks to make a box; repeat to make a lid. You'll need about 64 popsicle sticks for every 1 to 1 1/2 inches of box height.
Square Lamp
Build sticks in a geometric shape, leaving it hollow enough in the center to fit an LED bulb. Line the inside with parchment paper and put the bulb holder at the base.
Mini Planter
Create a box by gluing popsicle sticks side-by-side with a flat base. Line the inside with a plastic bag or tray to prevent wood rot before adding soil and plants.
