4 Common Mistakes You Should Avoid At All Costs When Washing Sheets
Don’t wait more than a week or two to clean your sheets, and wash them even more often if they’re subjected to excessive sweating, eating food in bed, or pets on the bed.
Never ignore care labels, as using the wrong washer settings for fabric type, water level, wash and rinse cycle strength, and temperature can reduce the life of your sheets.
Don’t wash your sheets with other dirty laundry, as they won’t have enough room to get properly cleaned and can get discolored. You also can’t adjust settings to suit them.
A common mistake is to leave sheets in the dryer for too long, which can lead to shrinkage. This can happen when drying them together with towels, which take longer to dry.
