A Brown Paper Bag May Be
The Key
To Keeping
Wasps At Bay
By ELYSE HAUSER
If you're seeking an easy, safe, and pesticide-free way to deal with the persistent wasp problem around your house, using a brown
paper bag might help.
To use this method, fill
a small paper bag with
other bags or wadded-up newspaper and shape it like a wasp nest. Then, hang this false nest near the areas where wasps frequent.
The presence of this nest
is believed to discourage
new wasps, making them
think there is already an established colony, prompting them to move elsewhere
to avoid competition.
However, while anecdotal evidence suggests this method works for some people, its effectiveness is not consistent and lacks scientific backing.
