Adding Hydrogen Peroxide To Your Air Purifier Is A Big Mistake
By TRINITY ARCHIE
In an exclusive interview with House Digest, Micah Sherman, Virtual HVAC Expert at Frontdoor, warns that adding hydrogen peroxide to your air purifier is a serious mistake.
While some models are engineered to generate small amounts of hydrogen peroxide to improve air quality, Sherman recommends that you never manually add the chemical to your unit.
"There are many risks to adding hydrogen peroxide to an air purifier, such as damage to your health, damage to your air purifier, and damage to your HVAC system," he explains.
Air purifiers are designed to work effectively without extra chemicals, so sticking to the proper usage guidelines will ensure both clean air and the longevity of your equipment.
