Avoid This Mistake To Prevent Your Palm Plant Leaves From Turning Brown
By TIERRA HARRIS
When palm plants exhibit browning leaves towards the end of their lifecycle, it’s typically natural, and you can trim the brown leaves close to the stem to maintain plant health.
However, improper drainage, leading to overwatering and root rot, can also cause brown leaves. Make sure there’s a drain hole at the bottom of your plant pot to help prevent this.
Additionally, you should water your palm two to three times a week, adhering to the 50% rule. If 50% of your palm’s soil is dry, water it and dispose of any excess water.
As per Palm’s Online, a healthy pH level for your palms falls between 6.0 and 7.0. If it deviates, water your palm three to four times, allowing the water to completely run out.
Cold temperatures and low humidity can result in brown leaves as well. Counteract this by fostering a humid indoor environment using pebble trays or room humidifiers.
