Banish Bakeware Stains With This Unexpected Laundry Item
By WILL FORD
Pyrex bakeware can develop minor scratches and imperfections with time, leading to stains. Luckily, an unexpected laundry item can help address these problems: dryer sheets.
The process begins with soaking the stained bakeware in warm water with a dryer sheet for 15 to 30 minutes. Then, drain the water and grab a clean, slightly damp sponge.
Gently scrub the Pyrex, paying special attention to areas with visible residue or discoloration. Next, rinse the bakeware with clean water to wash away any leftover residue.
If any stains persist, repeat the process. After cleaning, discard the used dryer sheet and dry the Pyrex with a clean towel, or let it air dry completely before using it again.
It's crucial to note that dryer sheets might leave residues on the Pyrex that could potentially transfer to food during cooking or storage, posing a health risk over time.
