Banish Pesky Carpet Stains With This Common Bathroom Item
By JENNY TINDER
Carpets often fall victim to tough stains, but hydrogen peroxide is an economical remedy that will not only disintegrate hard to remove marks but also eradicate bacteria and germs.
Prepare a solution of equal parts water and 3% hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle, along with half a teaspoon of dish soap. Generously spray the solution over the stain.
Leave it for two to five minutes, then gently blot the stain with a clean cloth or paper towel, and watch as those pesky coffee and red wine stains disappear.
Before using hydrogen peroxide on a prominent stain, test it on a hidden carpet segment, and refer to the carpet manufacturer's guidelines, especially for sensitive textiles.
