Budget-Friendly Alternatives
To Kitchen Cabinets For Extra Storage
By RACHAEL GREEN
If you need more kitchen storage but can't afford a renovation, make more space with affordable alternatives like wall-mounted shelves, organizational tools, or upcycled furniture.
One of the best ways to create more space is by repurposing a wardrobe into a pantry dedicated to food items, small appliances, and cookware to free up
your countertops.
If you don’t have space for a new pantry, try adding open shelving to any free wall space in your kitchen to store small appliances, spices, or jars.
Another great solution is to eliminate unused space in your kitchen, like empty inches of vertical space between cupboard shelves where you might be able to install another shelf.
You can also get creative with file organizers or file boxes to stack dishes and cookware upright. Try mounting mug hooks or stemware racks to the underside of your shelves.
