Can Attracting Dragonflies To Your Yard
Help Keep Mosquitoes Away?
By MARCO ROSSI
Attracting dragonflies to your yard is an effective natural strategy for reducing mosquito populations because they actively prey on the pesky pests as part of their regular diet.
While dragonflies can help reduce mosquito numbers, they can't completely eradicate them. For the best results, they should be used as part of a broader mosquito-control strategy.
To lure dragonflies, consider installing a pond in your garden and growing plants that support their life cycle, like pickerelweed, wild celery, Joe-Pye weed, and swamp milkweed.
