Clean Up Dirty Shower Door Tracks With This Kitchen Pantry Item
By DANIELLE RAMOS-SULLIVAN
Shower door tracks are breeding grounds for mildew, soap scum, and grime, and therefore can be challenging to clean. Luckily, a pantry staple — baking soda — can help.
Start by mixing 1 cup of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl until it forms a paste-like consistency, gradually adding more water if necessary to get it just right.
Next, use a plastic knife or spoon to spread the paste generously along the shower door tracks, ensuring it seeps into all the grooves. Allow this to sit for 30 minutes to an hour.
Then, grab a small brush or an old toothbrush and scrub the tracks, focusing on the corners where buildup is most likely to accumulate and can be the trickiest to clean.
To finish, simply wipe the paste off with a damp microfiber cloth and rinse the tracks thoroughly with clean water. This will leave your shower door tracks looking sparkling clean.
