Design Expert Jeremiah Brent Swears By This Moody Paint Color
By KIERSTEN HICKMAN
Instead of opting for the popular trend of beige walls for his new design studio, HGTV’s Jeremiah Brent has landed on a dark gray that he says is "old, historic, warm, and moody."
Stoke is a warmer matte gray with a "distinctive chalky finish" that favors the antique, historic feel of the space that he’s aiming for, and fits into a western gothic aesthetic.
Although there are many ways to try this aesthetic, Brent's studio space feels softer and more approachable, which is needed for an area designed to entertain potential clients.
Instead of a maximalist look full of somber colors and bull skulls, Brent’s inspiration favors warm woods with gold accents, empty ceramic jugs and vases, and soft orange lights.
