Dish Soap
Is Key To Keeping Spider
Mites Out Of
Your Plants
By D.G. SCIORTINO
Spray a mix of liquid dish soap and water on the leaves or infested area, and the soap will eat away at the protective layer of the bug's body and kill it by drying up its insides.
To make the miticide, mix a teaspoon of liquid dish soap with a quart of room-temperature water, then pour the mixture into a spray bottle and shake it well before use.
While spraying, pay attention to the bottom of the leaves, where the mites usually move around or weave their webs. Repeat the process at least once a day until the mites are gone.
