DIY A Unique Custom Lampshade Using An Unexpected Dollar Tree Item

Like TikTok user @onthecheaptip, you too can elevate your light fixture using two wire wreath forms (one with spokes and one without) and two clear bath mats from Dollar Tree.
Begin by cutting a notch into the spoked wreath form using wire cutters to fit the light fixture’s cord or base. You can spray-paint the wreath forms to personalize them.
Cut the bath mats with scissors to fit around the wreath molds without any overhang. Then, attach them to the upper (spoked) and lower (unspoked) wreath molds using a floral wire.
Next, replace your old lampshade with this new lampshade or place it over an exposed lightbulb. You can also attach a length of chain to the fixture’s cord using the floral wire.
To prevent a fire hazard and mitigate the risk of your plastic lampshade melting, select a lightbulb that does not emit heat. LEDs are a great choice for this purpose.
