DIY A Unique Lampshade With Repurposed Egg Trays

Per YouTuber Artisan Pallet, you can turn empty egg cartons, a sturdy box, and some string lights into a functioning DIY light with a floral design that looks more luxe than it is.
To create this distinctive lamp, cut out the recesses from the egg carton with an Exacto-knife, then trim the edges with scissors, creating petal shapes around the top perimeter.
Paint the petals with acrylic paint, adding highlights and lowlights to make them look more realistic. Glue the flowers to the box in rows until the top and sides are covered.
Once dry, use a blade or awl to poke holes in the bottom of each flower to thread through the bulbs. The cute, compact light is perfect for romantic cottagecore or glam spaces.
