TikToker @lottierobbie shows how you can create decorative storage for keys, jewelry, coins, and more out of old, unused porcelain like bowls, saucers, teacups and odd pieces.
First, clean your porcelain with gentle soap and water. Next, choose the pieces you want to use and decide how you want to stack them, starting with the largest one at the bottom.
Now, pick a cup to form your first tier and glue it upside down with epoxy or superglue to the bottom plate to create a second base for the next plate. Then, allow the glue to dry.
To create a stable, usable storage statue, include at least three plates from largest to smallest, and two cups. The cups will act as building blocks to make the piece taller.
Remember to be creative — don't be afraid to use lids and smaller items as finishing touches. If you only have cups, the very top can simply be an open mug to hold tiny trinkets.
Mixing porcelain patterns can work well if you have odd pieces from different sets. You can try to match colors or designs where you can, or choose random pieces for a fun result.
Your new storage tower is now ready to hold small knickknacks and accessories. Wherever you display it (an entryway is one good idea), visitors will admire its artsy whimsy.
