Create a bookshelf from cinderblocks and pre-cut boards sized to fit your office. Then, apply primer, sealer, and exterior paint to the cinderblocks, and stain the boards.

Purchase a storage bench from Amazon, then insert a hanging file folder frame inside it. Fill it with hanging organizer file folders to create a dual-purpose unit.

Get two matching base kitchen cabinets, suitably sized to fit your space, and a pre-cut board that extends across the cabinets, leaving a kneehole and workspace in the middle.
