DIY Witchy Halloween Decor Using Pool Noodles
By Amanda Anthony
To create an indoor Halloween decoration that will transform your space, create a chilling backdrop consisting of a twisted silhouette of knotted branches out of pool noodles.
This DIY project comes from YouTuber Kelley Does Stuff, who uses one 2x2 wood plank, three 1 ½-inch thick wooden discs, and some PVC piping in addition to the pool noodles.
You'll also need a box cutter, hack saw, hot glue, duct tape, acrylic paint, a paintbrush, faux moss and foliage, and any accessories or twinkle lights you want to add.
Saw PVC tubes into pieces for a trunk and branches and screw a flange to the center of the wooden base and each disc. Then, slide the longest pipe into the base.
Add elbows and tubing for branches before sitting a wood circle on the end of each branch to form display tables. Cut your pool noodles into segments.
Cover the PVC with the pool noodle pieces using tape and hot glue. Shred them slightly, paint them to resemble bark, and finish it off by adding your accessories and LED strands.
