If you don’t have a wooden stirrer handy to mix your paint, you can use an electric drill, a long drill bit, and some zip ties to create an effortless DIY electric paint stirrer.
Just attach three zip ties securely to your drill bit with each one going in a different direction, similar to a propeller or fan blades. Then, trim each zip tie to about 2 inches.
You can now use your electric stirrer to mix any type of paint or stain. After using it, you’ll need to clean your drill bit for reuse, or you can buy one just for mixing paint.
To clean your drill bit, rinse it off immediately after using it. Melt off dry paint with a heat gun on its lowest setting, or soak the bit in water and baking soda or vinegar.
