Easily Sharpen Your Lawn Mower Blades With The Help Of These Tools
By IBRAHIM CLOUDS
If your mower is slow to cut grass or leaves them almost uncut, it may be time to sharpen your blades. You can do so using a file, a bench grinder, or sharpening drill or stones.
A file is an affordable and easy option. Simply clamp down the blades between the edges, apply firm pressure, and rub the file against the edges in a perpendicular direction.
For a faster alternative to sharpening the blades, turn to a bench grinder. To use it, rub the blade edge against the spring wheel of the bench grinder till you get a clean edge.
Using a sharpening drill or stones is faster than the hand file but more effective for a smaller blade. All you need is a little effort while rubbing the blades against the drill.
