Follow Mina Starsiak Hawk’s Easy Rule To Minimize Clutter
By ALEXANDRA RODRIGUEZ
There are many ways to fill a space when you’re decorating your home from scratch. However, it can quickly become overwhelming and expensive, leading to piles that look messy.
HGTV's Mina Starsiak Hawk, who has renovated many homes, claims that using large, minimal décor can help create “wow” statements without the clutter in every room.
For instance, instead of multiple trinkets on your coffee table that take up too much space, opt for bigger items, such as a vase with flowers, a stack of books, and a candle.
If you’re decorating an extensive wall, you can display large artwork that takes up most of the wall. Also, opt for a statement wall instead of decorating all your walls.
Since they’re easy to clean and tidy up, reducing clutter with larger items allows you to transform your space from an anxious-inducing environment to a relaxing and inviting home.
