For Extra Storage, Try Side-Sliding Garage Doors
By ETHAN HARRISON SMITH
Garages often serve as storage spaces for homeowners, accommodating various items besides vehicles. However standard garage doors take up a lot of vertical space, hindering storage.
To remedy this, consider installing side-sliding garage doors to increase vertical space, ideal for overhead storage systems that will keep items off the ground and organized.
They operate quietly and require less energy than roll-up garage doors. Repairs are also simpler, typically requiring the replacement of single panels rather than the entire door.
However, side-sliding doors can reduce side wall space when they open and are more vulnerable to freezing conditions. They are also pricier and require professional installation.
