For Thriving Root Sprouts, Try This Paint And Aluminum Foil Hack
By EZEKIEL MAINA
Algae can quickly grow and spread in the jar you’re using for your hydroponic garden; luckily, there’s an effective hack to prevent this using paint and aluminum foil.
Incorporating one or both of these materials into your hydroponic setup shields your sprouts from aggressive algae advances by keeping direct sunlight off the jars.
To use the paint, clean your jars with an isopropyl alcohol-moistened paper towel beforehand, and then evenly apply a layer of light-blocking paint on the outside.
Alternatively, you can wrap the outside of the jars with aluminum foil and secure it with tape. Ensure there aren’t any potential light gateways that will feed the algae.
