Get Rid Of Coffee & Tea Stains On Your Mugs With This Kitchen Staple
By LILLY PALTSEV
If you're an avid coffee or tea drinker, you’ve probably noticed lingering stains on your favorite mugs. Fortunately, you can quickly remove them with a bit of white vinegar.
Vinegar’s acetic acid makes it an effective stain-remover for substances that contain tannins like coffee and tea. Plus, white vinegar acts as a natural disinfectant for your mug.
Begin by filling the mug with equal parts boiling water and distilled white vinegar. Let the mug soak for at least 10 minutes, or leave it overnight for tough stains.
Afterward, you can dump the mixture, scour the mug with a coarse sponge, and then marvel at how clean it’s become. Avoid scrubbing too vigorously as this may scratch your mug.
