Get Shoes Squeaky Clean With A Laundry Staple You May Already Have
By TRINITY ARCHIE
Cleaning stains off of shoes can be difficult. Luckily, you may already have an effective shoe cleaner in your laundry room, as OxiClean can break down grime on your sneakers.
First, determine whether the fabric of your shoes will be damaged by OxiClean, and avoid using it on leather or wool products. Then, check the care label for washing instructions.
Soak white shoes in a solution of one scoop of OxiClean and a gallon of warm water for up to six hours. If they aren’t machine-washable, you should spot-clean them instead.
For colored shoes, mix OxiClean, liquid dish soap, and water, and use a toothbrush to scrub away the stains. Then, if they are machine washable, you can toss them in the wash.
In addition to getting rid of stains, an OxiClean solution will remove smelly odors from your shoes and clean your dirty laces. Just check the box for instructions before using.
