Give Your Hibiscus A Boost Of Energy With
A Leftover Morning Staple
By ANNETTE HIRD
If you're seeking a natural way to boost the health of your hibiscus plants and help them thrive, a common morning staple can work wonders: leftover brewed coffee grounds.
These grounds are rich in nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, iron, calcium, zinc, and magnesium, all of which contribute to healthier growth and more vibrant blooms.
In addition to nourishing the plants, coffee grounds improve soil health by supporting microorganisms that enrich the soil and earthworms that help aerate it and enhance drainage.
For best results, sprinkle the grounds around the base of the plants and work them into the soil. Avoid applying them too thickly, as this can block water from reaching
the roots.
