Give Your Kitchen A Fresh Look With This Joanna Gaines Tip
By ALEXANDRIA TAYLOR
To add color, charm, and character to a kitchen, interior designer Joanna Gaines often employs tile, and for one client, she used a handmade blue-and-white tile for the backsplash.
With different options for texture, color, shape, and layout, tiles can be a way to create a customized feature. Like Gaines, you can use them to add a pop of color to the kitchen.
Use tiles to make a small statement, say, between the upper and lower cabinets, or if you want more of a design feature, opt for tile that runs from the counters to the ceiling.
Find some unexpected places in the kitchen to add this unique feature. Consider using it on a wall of open shelving or as a feature in the breakfast nook.
