Give Your Matted Carpet A Massive Upgrade With One Simple Iron Hack
By JENNY TINDER
Regular foot traffic or heavy furniture and other objects can lead to carpets forming indentations and being matted down, which you can easily solve with an iron and a damp cloth.
Lay a wet cloth over the dented section and set the iron to a medium-high or steam setting. Place the iron above the cloth, keeping it moving to avoid damage to the carpet fibers.
After a brief heating period, usually, a few seconds, lift the iron and the cloth. Gently fluff the carpet fibers using your fingers and observe
the indentation fading.
Repeat the process until you're satisfied with the results. Since the hack employs heat, moisture, and weight to rejuvenate the carpet, it yields one of the most effective results.
