Baking soda, a common pantry staple, serves as an effective and eco-friendly solution for keeping your microwave sparkling clean and leaves behind a fresh smell.
To tap into baking soda’s cleaning prowess, mix 2 tablespoons of it with a cup of water in a microwave-safe bowl, and heat this mixture in the microwave for about three minutes.
Let the bowl sit inside for a few extra minutes to maximize the cleaning effect. Next, carefully remove the bowl and wipe the interior of the microwave with a damp cloth or sponge.
For more stubborn spots, make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it directly to the stains. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, then wipe it off for a clean microwave.
