Depending on where the spiders have entered, typical areas to place peppermint plants or their leaves might be within entryways and windowsills, or near any cracks, gaps, or vents.
Spiders mainly hate the strong and cool menthol fragrance, an organic substance within the plant. However, the plant alone may not be potent enough to deter the pests.
For better results, crush or rub the plant's leaves to release their pure essence, or make extracts and oils from its sprouts, add water, and regularly spray spider hotspots.
