Growing These Two Common Herbs Together Is
A Mistake
By WILL FORD
Growing herbs in one container can be convenient and also aesthetically pleasing. However, planting basil and sage together can be disastrous, as they have different care needs.
While basil enjoys warm, moist conditions with lots of sunlight throughout the day to produce bountiful and large leaves, sage prefers drier soil and more moderate temperatures.
Planting the two together will inevitably result in sacrificing the needs of one plant for the other, leading to a disappointing harvest. So, it's best to plant them separately.
