Handy Ways To Repurpose Parchment Paper Around The House
By SHARON KONG PERRING
Water Stains
Crumple up some parchment paper into a ball, and gently rub the hard water stains in your sink or faucet to remove even stubborn months-old mineral deposits.
Frying
Since parchment paper is nonstick and can withstand high heat, you can use it as a barrier to stop food sticking to your frying skillet or air fryer, making cleaning easier.
Wax
If candle wax drips onto your furniture or carpet, remove the excess, then lay parchment paper over it, and heat it slightly with a hair dryer. The paper will absorb the wax.
Mold Liners
Parchment paper helps muffins slide easily out of a muffin mold. Simply cut squares to fit the mold, place one inside each compartment, pour your batter in, and bake.
Freezer
Wrapping foods, like meat, in parchment paper helps prevent freezer burn, and the extra layer is better for longer term storage than leaving food in its original packaging.
