Here's How Rice Can Help You Get Rid
Of Pesky Hard Water Stains
By JENNY TINDER
Rice water is one of the most accessible and chemical-free cleaning agents for glass, ceramics, and other home appliances, which can effortlessly remove stubborn stains.
Packed with starch, minerals, and vitamins, rice water dissolves minerals in water stains and breaks them down effectively, while its abrasive nature enhances the scrubbing action.
Submerge a cup of rice in two cups of water and
let it sit until the liquid is cloudy. Once steeped, separate the rice from the milky water, which will be your cleaning agent.
Dampen a cloth or sponge with the rice water and generously apply it to
the affected area. Alternatively, pour the rice water into a spray bottle and spray the dirty surface.
Gently scrub the area with a soft-bristled brush or dry cloth before washing it with clean water and patting it dry with a fresh cloth.
