HGTV Stars Are Over Seeing This Popular Feature In Homes
By VICTORIA MILLER
Some home trends are despised worldwide. HGTV stars Nate Berkus, Leanne Ford, and Laurie Hickson-Smith all condemn this item for ruining a room’s aesthetics.
Ceiling fans are Ford’s most hated design, claiming their appearance is never worth the cooling benefits. Berkus strongly agreed, giving them a simple, “Nope.”
Hickson-Smith is famous for ripping fans out of ceilings, but her colleague Doug Wilson gives them some grace as long as they blend unobtrusively into the ceiling.
To benefit from the cooling effects of a ceiling fan without sacrificing your room design, Ford suggests buying a standing fan that can be hidden away when not in use.
