HGTV's David Bromstad Has A Word Of Warning If You Use Black Paint
By SARAH VULPIO
While black walls can make a room feel cozier, darker shades do have their share of downsides. Here’s what HGTV’s David Bromstad wants you to know before you use black paint.
You may think black paint is easy to maintain, but the “My Lottery Dream Home” host warns that black walls and floors show every fingerprint, scratch, and smudge.
On the other hand, Bromstad says black trim actually disguises dust and hair, and is less challenging and less time consuming to fix should it chip or wear away.
If you really want to paint your walls or floors black, go for it. Just heed Bromstad's warning, and keep the same black paint on hand should your walls need some touching up.
