HGTV's David Bromstad Warns Against This Bathroom Decor Mistake

HGTV host David Bromstad cautions against a common bathroom decor mistake: overcommitting to a theme, particularly the beach theme often found in seaside homes.
He notes that, although a bathroom brimming with beach-themed decorations might initially seem appealing, it runs the risk of feeling gimmicky and outdated over time.
"Having seashells everywhere, fish netting, and every sheet and blanket covered in shells or some type of sea life is old news," he says, pointing out the approach’s drawbacks.
Instead, he suggests drawing inspiration from local flora for color schemes or selecting finishes that reflect the area's natural charm, while avoiding overt thematic touches.
