HGTV's Jasmine Roth Says This Unique Countertop Will Take Over In 2024
By SARAH COGGAN
HGTV’s “Help! I Wrecked My House” star Jasmine Roth boldly mixed countertop materials for a striking variation of style, color, and texture that she is certain will become popular.
In a Season 4 episode, Roth chose a white and gray leather-finished quartzite for the counters and black porcelain for the top of the island for a visually striking result.
The contrasting colors created a glamorous kitchen without needing to shell out the money for marble, which is why mixed-material and dual-tone countertops will be popular in 2024.
Leathered quartzite is more expensive than regular quartzite, but it lasts longer. Should porcelain not suit your needs, you can swap it for Formica’s laminate black shale stone.
When choosing colors, consider which pairings will provide good contrast while complementing your kitchen cabinets. Experiment and don’t confine yourself solely to Roth’s design.
