HGTV's Jenn Todryk Warns Design Trends Can Be Flawed
By TESSA HAYLEY HELLBERG
Jenn Todryk, star of HGTV's "No Demo Reno," has warned fans against jumping on every home design trend that has five minutes of fame on social media.
As Todryk explained, in the age of social media, interior design trends fall in and out of favor in the blink of an eye, so it’s better to go off your personal style.
In an Instagram post, Todryk pointed out, "Your home should be a special space to you, a sense of safety and comfort and ultimately be decorated to bring you joy!"
Another perk of this philosophy is timelessness. By prioritizing her style, Todryk continues to love her past homes — which wouldn't have been the case if they were simply trendy.
Todryk's top tip on trends is to stick to decor rather than all-out design, as these elements can be more easily swapped out and replaced as the trends go out of style.
