A Simple Test To Prevent Bathroom Mold

HGTV host Mike Holmes shared a simple tip on Instagram to test the effectiveness of bathroom exhaust fans, a vital component in preventing mold growth caused by excess moisture.
"A shower produces a large amount of water vapor and steam. If you don't have proper ventilation in your bathrooms, you can end up with mold," Holmes wrote in his Instagram post.
His method involves holding a tissue near the grill or opening of the fan. If the fan is working properly, its air movement should be strong enough to keep the tissue
in place.
If the tissue falls during the test, your fan could be clogged. A malfunctioning fan can pose health risks, making it essential to either clean it or consider
a replacement.
