How Aluminum Foil Can Prevent Pets From Destroying Your Furniture

Pets are an important part of your family, but they pose a challenge to your furniture thanks to their claws. Luckily, aluminum foil might keep them from damaging certain pieces.
You can simply wrap an area of your furniture with aluminum foil to deter cats from scratching it, or lay a long sheet across the furniture so your dogs won't jump or sit on them.
Your pets dislike the uncomfortable feel of the foil's texture and the sound it makes. They also don't find scratching the glossy foil as satisfying as rougher fabrics like sisal.
The hope is that, after leaving the aluminum foil on for a few weeks, your pets will be discouraged from scratching or using that item and move on to somewhere else.
