How HGTV's Erin and Ben Napier Hide Their Kitchen Music Speakers
By DARBY WAGLER
A music speaker is a great addition to a kitchen, but it can be tricky to hide, as closed doors could muffle the sound or mess with the speaker's connection.
If you want to keep a speaker in the kitchen without ruining the aesthetic, Erin and Ben Napier of HGTV's "Home Town" recommend placing it behind a cane door on a high cabinet.
Further, if you want to disguise the cane material in the space, add this feature to wooden cabinets that are similar in color so the cane doesn’t make too much of a statement.
To DIY this project, prepare your roll of cane by soaking it in warm water for 30 minutes. Let it slightly dry and attach it to the inside of a shaker cabinet with a staple gun.
Use a razor knife to cut off excess material, then allow it to dry overnight so it becomes taught. This hack is very versatile and can be used in any room, or even in a camper.
