How To Deep Clean Your Washing Machines
With Only Two Ingredients
By CHRISTY RAE AMMONS
Deep cleaning your washing machine will ensure that mold, mildew, germs, and bacteria don’t build up in your appliance or end up on your clothes when you wash them.
TikTok user Carolina Mccauley posted a simple hack showing how you can clean your washer with the help of baking soda, vinegar, and a microfiber cloth.
In the video, Mccauley dunks a couple of microfiber cloths into white vinegar before wringing them out and pushing them into the gasket of a front-loading washer.
She then adds baking soda into the machine’s drum before pouring more vinegar into the detergent dispenser. Mccauley removes the cloths before running the washer for a deep clean.
Make sure you use vinegar sparingly while cleaning the rubber gasket. You can use it to wipe out the drum and other features, while baking soda can be used to deodorize.
