How To Repurpose Your Empty Berry Containers To Plant Grass Seed

You can repurpose the plastic container your berries came in for a very low-cost way to spread your grass seed.
Wash your berry containers with soapy water, then rinse and dry them to prevent contamination. Load the container up with your choice of grass seed to make the perfect "shakers."
Use a foil pie pan, paper bag, or small box to catch any grass seed that spills. These containers allow for even coverage when planting and fill in any gaps in your lawn.
Follow the directions on the package for when and how to plant grass seed. You can also use these containers to sprinkle granular fertilizer or other materials on your lawn.
