How To Snag Joanna Gaines' Stunning Front Door Style On A Budget
By ALEXANDRIA TAYLOR
HGTV’s Joanna Gaines is a known trendsetter, and her stunning glass door is no exception. While buying a full glass door is pricey, you can DIY a similar design on a budget.
If you already have glass to work with, you can easily DIY Gaines’ signature grid using ½-inch by 2-inch boards to create grills that you can apply to your glass door.
Cut the boards to your desired width, use wood glue to adhere the pieces together, and paint them to match your door frame. Using a strong adhesive, glue the grills to the door.
If you’re not into DIY projects, you can replace the glass in your current door with inserts found at home retail stores like Lowes. However, you’ll have to pay for installation.
Labor will cost you up to $225, and the type of glass you use could also raise or lower the price. While more expensive than DIYing, it’s cheaper than purchasing a brand-new door.
