HGTV's Kim Wolfe of "Why The Heck Did I Buy This House" shared how to use cosmetic changes to infuse a ton of high-end character into a basic builder-grade bathroom on TikTok.
Wolfe ditched the bathroom’s gray walls, painting them a creamy white to match the tub and cabinets. Getting rid of the bland gray made the space look twice the size and more airy.
She also traded in the wood-look flooring for a funky, modern black and white patterned tile, which provided a slight detail and sophisticated feel while grounding the space.
Switching out the other fixtures also helped evoke different vibes. Wolfe used gold drawer pulls and combined wall and overhead lighting for a stylish and functional space.
