How To Treat The Soil Before Removing Weeds From Your Garden
By KATIE FRANCIS
Removing weeds is crucial for maintaining a healthy garden. However, avoid pulling them from dry soil, as this could result in leaving behind roots and cause rapid regrowth.
For effective weed removal, first identify and differentiate the weeds from the plants you wish to keep, and then evaluate the soil condition.
If the soil is dry, water it generously until it's moistened at least 6 inches below the surface, focusing on the roots of the weeds. Alternatively, you could wait
for rain.
Then, grasp each weed firmly and pull at the base of the stem to ensure they come out in one piece. This method will help you in thoroughly eradicating weeds from your garden.
