How To Use Baby Powder To Keep Your Shirt Free
Of Yellow
Sweat Stains
By MARCO ROSSI
While sweat stains often require vigorous scrubbing, you can prevent that from happening by creating a barrier to protect your underarms and neck using baby powder and an iron.
Sprinkle a thin layer of the powder on the shirt's underarms or spot prone to yellowing. Set the iron to medium heat and hover about an inch above the shirt for about five seconds.
It allows heat to activate the baby powder before you put the iron down. Then, lay the iron flat against the shirt for about three seconds, baking the baby
powder into the fibers.
Since the baby powder is so absorbent, it will soak up your sweat, minimizing its damage to the fabric. You can then easily brush or wash away the powder.
