How To Use Bay Leaves To Get A Handle On Pesky Weevils
By MEREDITH EASTWOOD
Weevils, little insects that infest stored grains and cereals, can become a nuisance in your kitchen. However, there is a simple and natural solution to this problem: bay leaves.
To harness the insect-repellent properties of the herb, place a few bay leaves in your pantry or within storage containers holding susceptible items like grains, rice, or pasta.
It'll create a barrier around your food items that will keep pesky weevils at bay. You can also place bay leaves inside a small cloth bag to prevent direct contact with your food.
To ensure their continued efficacy, it's recommended to replace bay leaves every few months or whenever you notice
their scent diminishing.
