How To Use Garlic And Pepper To Keep Pesky Groundhogs Away
By SANDY BAKER
Groundhogs use their sense of smell to seek out foods that are safe for them. Garlic and pepper have strong odors, which deter these animals
from consuming them.
Sprinkle freshly ground pepper in areas where groundhogs are entering from. Do this a few times to encourage them to relocate elsewhere.
Or, boil a few cups of water, and add a few cloves of fresh garlic to create a liquid you can spray onto the surface of any plant leaves they’ve been eating.
Cook this for a few minutes, and steep it for a few hours until it comes to room temperature. Spray this mixture several times a week to permanently alleviate the issue.
